A special museum for Kutanii contrives to present you the beauty of Kutani collections. Each fascinating collection is on exhibit in the best condition. In the freely opened space facing to Japanese garden, you will enjoy collections of colorful porcelain.
Aote Ko Kutani (Old Kutani) is based on four colors (green, purple, yellow and dark blue) without red
and its free and unstrained touch.
Inherited the traditional style of Aote, Yoshidaya kiln (kama) and Matsuyama
kiln (kama) have developed its style.
This room is introducing together Aote collections produced by Kutani old
kiln, Yoshidaya-kama and Matsuyama-kama.
Green, purple, yellow, dark blue and red is called ”Kutani Gosai” (it means five colors of Kutani). Collections of natural scenes and patterns portrait overglazed by Kutani Gosai are dynamic and elegant.
This room is introducing famous collections of "Akae Kinrante",
the harmony of Akae-saibyo Kutani and Kinrante. Iidaya Hachiroemon who
was a painter of Miyamotoya-kama established a technique of Akae-saibyo Kutani. And Eiraku Wazen handed
down Kinrante in Kutani.
Displays associated with Kutaniyaki are held as planned. On the wall of this room, the stratum where the clay for Kutani was dug in Kutani Village is restored.
